"More for us then," Dave snorted, climbing up off the bed and heading back to the kitchen.

Bro glanced up as he put the three plates on the table. "Couldn't get him to come could ya." He snorted, straightening. "I'll go get him. When you're done eating, you can go ahead and go get the stuff we'll need, while I get back to Tavbro about his flight and shit. Sound good? You can take my card and shit"

"You mean I don't gotta pay?" Dave asked with an apparent smirk, taking a seat at the table.

"I figured I was gonna be payin with you savin and all. Besides, that umbrella and stand is gonna be pricey. pool too, dependin on what ya get" Bro stated before leaving the room. He was back a minute later with a grouchy Karkat tossed over one shoulder. "I was gonna go with ya originally, but now that this thing with Tav's come up..."

Dave was in the middle of slicing up his plate of pancakes when Bro came back with Karkat in tow. "Yeah, you just wanna make sure Tav gets on the right plane this time."

"That is definitely high on my priority list." Bro replied. "I do not want a repeat of the hysterical phone call where he wasn't where he was supposed to be." He sat Karkat in a chair before sitting down at his own plate. "Tav is so much easier to deal with when he isn't crying."

"Most people are," Dave agreed.

"Strangely enough, you're about the same to deal with." Bro stated. He looked to the troll. "Eat up"

Karkat sneered at him before picking up his fork.

Dave paused in the middle of taking a bit of his pancake. "The hell's that supposed to mean?"

"That you're no different to deal with when you're crying?" Bro replied "Its not really that big of a deal. You used to be intolerable when you cried, but you got better once you got older. Tav does this thing when he's upset where he scrunches his face up and it makes me want to cry for him."

"I'm not intoleralable," Dave protested.

"You're not listening. I said you USED to be" Bro stated.

"Doesn't really sound any more promising to, 'better than intolerable.'"

Bro rolled his eyes. "You're not intolerable" he stated.

Dave popped a slice of pancake into his mouth. "The eye roll is really selling your point there, thank you."

"Keep it up, I'll drag your ass to the roof and strife you till you cry" Bro warned. "You're not intolerable, period."

Dave gave his brother an affirmative nod. "So what you're saying is that I would be intolerable, if you couldn't get to throw me around the roof whenever you want. I hear you loud and clear."

"That isn't true and it isn't what I'm saying" Bro sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose

"I know, dude. Just trying to crack a joke. I tend to do that a lot."

"Well that one isn't all that funny because I thought you were serious" Bro replied.

Karkat picked at his pancakes

"Dang, man. I was just trying to lighten the mood," Dave muttered.

"Let's stick to jokes that don't poke fun at either of us, we're prone to over-reacting." Bro replied with a sigh. "And its getting harder to tell when you're being serious or not. Your pokerface has really improved"

Dave went quiet as he continued eating his pancakes, reminded once again of why he had wanted to leave in the first place.

"Do you want me to cook dinner too?" Bro asked after a short silence between them. "I know I don't usually, but I guess I miss cooking, so if you want something I can cook, I can make dinner tonight"

Karkat shoved nearly a whole pancake into his mouth, looking at Dave hopefully.

"Sure, what did you have in mind?" Dave asked.
