Less Than Three

Dirk slowly nodded before finally pressing his face into Bro's chest. "...J-Just do me a favor." He finally said.

"Yeah? What do you need Dirky?" Bro asked softly.

"Dont be mad at Dave." He finally said. "Cause he kinda told me and he said you said not to tell him. I thought he was kidding but..." Dirk sighed softly.

Bro frowned. "I'll try Dirky" he replied, kissing Dirk's brow. "Just calm down, okay? Cal's nice and clean so you don't have to worry about anything."

Dirk slowly nodded and huffed, reaching up to turn off the water. "I'm going out today." He stated as he stood up and grabbed a towel.

"Alright. Go out and take your mind off things" Bro nodded.

Dirk walked out of the bathroom, hurrying into his room to change into some clothes.

Dave watched him with a small frown.

Bro sighed and stripped himself of his soaked boxers before following, wrapping a towel around his waist.

John blinked in confusion.

Once he was dressed and his hair was brushed back, Dirk emerged. "John, can we leave, please?" He asked.

Dave looked over at Bro, brow raised.

Bro went to his room.

"Um, yeah, where, uh, where do you wanna go?" John asked

"Anywhere but here." Dirk finally said as he waited patiently for John to get dressed.

John hurried to change and grab his stuff. "Um, we can hang at my place if you want"

"'S fine." Dirk mumbled, looking over at Dave with an expression that said 'be on your guard'.

Dave frowned deeply and nodded.

"Dad'll make us lunch" John smiled, missing the exchange between the brothers.

Dirk nodded at him, looking over at the door.

Dave got up and headed to the bathroom to go take a piss.

John grabbed his bag and moved to get the door for Dirk

Dirk walked out in a rush when the door was opened for him, waiting until John was out before he walked off with him.

"Everything okay?" John asked

"Dave was right." Dirk mumbled quietly, his hands shoved into his hoodie pockets.

"What?" John asked, his brow furrowing slightly "What was Dave right about?"

"About Bro and Cal." He frowned deeply as he walked down the stairs, taking it one step at a time as he stared down at them.

John's eyes widened and his mouth formed an 'oh'. "So, um, I guess I can ask dad if you can stay over if you want"

"You don't have to do that if it's going to be a problem." Dirk said, looking up at him. "I'm fine with just being out of the house all day." Then he paused. "I'm sorry I dragged you out of there too. That was really rude of me."

"No, its fine" John smiled. "I just have to ask dad if its okay with him first."

Dirk silently nodded before walking outside with him, taking his arm in his as they walked.
