Three's Company

Cal groaned, rubbing his eyes as he leaned against the beat up bucket of rust that was his family's only form of transportation. Normally he wouldn't be at the highschool as it let out, he would be home sleeping and preparing for work, or sleeping off the shift he just worked, but today Hal messaged him to tell him that he forgot his bus card when he stayed over with his friend and that he had no way home unless he walked, which took nearly an hour and a half because of how far they lived.

Seb, his other little brother, was at home with his tutor, so Cal saw no harm in coming to pick up the middle brother, but he didn't ever remember it taking this long to leave a high school.

Jeff made an irritated noise as he pulled up to the school. Dave had lost his bus pass after going out with some of his friends the other night. He was still waiting for his replacement in the mail. The youngest Strider had moaned and whined until his older brother caved and agreed to pick him up from school.

Teenagers. Gross and disgusting. Jeff hated to think that he was once one. He groaned again as he pulled up behind a junker and parked. School wouldn't be out for another ten minutes. If Dave valued his life he would be out immediately so they could leave.

Cal crossed his arms and let his head fall back with a sigh. He was exhausted. He wanted nothing more than to go home and go back to sleep, but Hal was more important. It didn't help that the sun was giving him a headache.

Jeff checked the time and groaned. Literally only one minute had passed. He tugged at his collar and hissed. The ac in the car had gone out....3 years ago. The older Strider had been too cheap to fix it. He rolled his eyes as he got out of his car.

Cal barely flinched as he heard a car door close. He hadn't even noticed anyone else pull up.

It was too hot out, it was only serving to make him even more tired, and the car's ac had two options that worked: Idle and freeze, or drive and roast. It was not going to be a fun ride home.

Jeff took his cap off, using it as a fan. Maybe he'd take his shirt off too. It was always pretty hilarious to watch the little girls drool over him and the boys glares. Yeah, the shirt was definitely coming off. It was quickly pulled off and tossed into the car.

Cal's shirt was starting to stick to him, and to the car. Gross but not a big deal. At least the seats weren't leather. He vaguely wondered if it was too late to slip back into the car for a nap.

Jeff groaned and crack his neck. He just wanted to go home already. He was tempted to just go in and sign Dave out early.

Cal groaned as he pushed himself off the car. He turned and opened the passenger door and reached inside to pull out a water bottle, covered in condensation. It had been frozen when he took it out of the fridge before he left. He straightened and closed the door, opening the water bottle and taking a big drink.

Jeff looked over to the car in front of his. He grinned as he pulled his shades on. A cute little blonde had just gotten out of it. And he had a water bottle. This....this might have been worth after all. Jeff grinned as he approached the other male. "Hot, ain't it?"

Cal looked over at him with tired eyes. "Too hot." he mumbled in response. There was something familiar about the guy getting nearer. Something that almost registered as 'safe' in his mind.

Jeff was grinning as he leaned against the smaller blond's car. He had to get this little cutie's phone number. This looked like he was definitely a good time between the sheets. "I could say that about you." The older Strider pulled his shades down to wink at the other male.

"I am literally drenched in sweat, so that would be a pretty good assumption" Cal replied, taking another drink. He had turned back to the school so he had missed Jeff winking at him from over his shades and he was exhausted to the point of not even noticing his flirtatious tone.

Jeff hummed as he reached over, plucking the water bottle out of the male's hand. "Don't mind if I do buddy. Thanks for the pick me up. A man could die of thirst out here." He put the rim of the container to his lips, chugging it.

Cal stared at his empty hand in exhausted confusion.

Jeff drank the remainder of the water, belching loudly when he took the bottle away from his mouth. He was smirking ashe placed it back in the owner's hand. "Thanks cutie."

Cal finally looked up at Jeff only to shrug. He held the cool, still wet plastic to his head and closed his eyes.

"Whatcha doin this Saturday cutie? I bet you havea date or two lined up. A sexy little thing like you must have men trippin over their feet for you all the time." Jeff leaned in towards him.

"Sleeping" Cal mumbled. "Saturdays are for sleeping"

"Well, now you're going on a date." Jeff pulled a sharpie out of the pocket of his polo. The twins always told him it was stupid to carry it around. It was cute how they didn't question what he did with it. Grinning, he grabbed one of the blond's arm. "I expect you to call or text me on Friday. I will need to find your place. I'll pick a nice restuarant for us." He had written his first name and cell phone number on the short male's forearm.

Cal just grunted.

"Those shorts look nice on you. I bet they show off your ass."

Cal opened his eyes to look at Jeff in slight concern. "These are literally children's shorts"

Jeff winked at him again. "That's cute. Call me later sexy." He moved to go back to his car.

Cal stared after him in confusion.
