John shrugged as he stood up. "Okay," he mumbled. He was silent as he searched for his phone.

John found his phone a minute later. He called Jade and quietly explained to her what Jake told him. He sighed when he hung up. "She'll be here in a few minutes." John put his phone down and quickly left the room.

John went down to the kitchen. His cheeks were already wet with tears as he dug through the cabinet of frostings and other baking supplies. He was going to be lonely without Jake.
