Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)

John giggled. "Should I get you another one too?" he asked. "Or should I get a matching one for Karkat?"

"Nah, I don't mind sharing Share Bear with Karkat," Dave stated, grabbing a handful of popcorn. "It'd kind of defeat the purpose if I didn't share the thing, right?"

"Then I'll just have to get you more bears to show how much I care" John chuckled. "The two of you will have a carebear army!"

John laughed and gave Dave a squeeze. "You're great. you know that? And Karkat is great for you"

"All part of why it's so much harder when he's gone," Dave sighed.

"But look at it this way, when he comes back, he can go even more places with you!" John grinned

Dave quietly hummed in distant agreement before letting go so that he could watch the movie, ruffling John's hair affectionately.

John just grinned, leaning against Dave happily as they watched.

Dave pulled John down with him so that they could lay back and watch the movie, dragging the bowl of popcorn between them.

John gave a happy little sigh and cuddled into Dave's side.

Dave scoffed when one of the carebears spewed a rainbow beam from their stomach, making him gesture towards the screen as if he was shocked from being so utterly scandalized. "Fuck, why couldn't I have had powers that legit in SUBURB?"

"Why couldn't SBURB have been that awesome to begin with?" John countered

"Because we're bad people and we can't have nice things," Dave stated matter-of-factly, tapping John's shoulder to make him aware that his good arm was currently useless since it was resting behind John's neck. "Could you feed me some popcorn?"

"Yeah" John grinned, passing some popcorn up to Dave's mouth.

Dave accepted the popcorn readily, nipping lightly at John's fingertips afterwards.

John grinned. "Gonna lick all the butter off?" he teased.

"Want me to?" Dave asked, his lips poised against John's fingers, the corners pulled up into a knowing smirk.

"Maybe" John grinned. "It'd put your mouth to good use" he teased

"'Maybe' there are other places you'd like to put me to use," Dave hummed before slipping his tongue out to glide across the pads of John's hand, selecting his middle and forefinger to start sucking on.

John smirked. "Maybe there is. But maybe I don't think you can handle it"

"Your loss," Dave muttered after he finished lapping up John's fingers, tilting his head back towards the movie.

John leaned back on his shoulder. "You're awfully docile tonight" He chuckled. "Its almost cute"

Dave paused, arching a brow at John. "I'm sorry, for a second there, I thought I was seeing red. What was that about me being cute?"

"You're so quiet and obedient" John chuckled "Like a cute little kitty. Say Meow"

"I believe you've mistaken me for a whole 'nother variety of kitty, for this one likes to roar," Dave stated, bringing his cast up to his chin and making a half-assed 'rawr' sound.
