Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Bro froze. "What the fuck happened" he practically growled, crossing the room to him, dropping his helmet on the way over.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Dave covered his head with his arms in panic, choking out between snot, blood, and approaching tears, "I do-on't want to t-talk about it."
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Bro hushed him gently, carefully pulling his arms down from his face. "Hey, hey, its okay, I just need to know what happened so I can help you"
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Dave felt around for his shades that had been knocked off not long ago, desperately needing to feel something shielding his eyes as they began to spill tears down his face. Trying to tell Bro about what just happened felt as if he was being talked into reliving the event itself and he shook his head in response. "I said I don't want to talk about it," he repeated, his voice wavering and catching in his throat at the end.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Bro pulled Dave to his chest gently. "Its okay, I'm here" he murmured soothingly.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Dave quit searching for his missing shades, instead grasping for Bro's shirt and hugging him tightly. He kept trying to bring himself to talk again as his throat tightened, because he knew he needed to, before that son of a bitch made a clean get away, if he hadn't already hit the road by now. "He just left," he muttered. "The-the guy- was- he was o-only other one in here."
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Bro pulled his phone out of his pocket. "Call the cops. We're at the shell, just off the highway past exit 97." he stated before letting go of Dave. He got up, heading out the door with a purpose.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Dave nodded quickly and started dialing, though his eyes followed after Bro as he was left alone in the restroom again.
Outside, the man from earlier was just at the door of his car, glancing back towards the restroom anxiously. He started racing to get out his car keys when he spotted someone come out of the restroom, knowing what they must have seen in there.

Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Bro was striding towards the man with a purpose, the rounded shades he wore under his helmet flashing dangerously as the distance between him and the man quickly lessened.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
The man finally managed to get back in his car, slamming and locking the door shut. He started cursing furiously as he manually rolled up the window, staring at the approaching stranger in terror.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Bro pulled back his fist once he was close enough and let it fly into the man's window with enough force to make it shatter beneath his knuckles like candy, rather than the tempered glass it was. His hand was dripping blood where it cut him, but he reached in the window and grabbed the man's shirt.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
The man fought to get the hand off of him, screaming that this man was fucking insane, what the fuck was wrong with him!? The shattering glass roused the attention of a woman filling up the tank of her truck, raising a hand to her mouth in shock.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
"YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A KID IN A CAST AND I'M THE FUCKING INSANE ONE?" Bro snarled, practically screaming as he yanked him right out the window and onto the pavement. He ripped off his shades, his reddish orange eyes flashing dangerously. "You picked the wrong fucking kid"
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
The man slammed into the pavement, hard. "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, YOU'RE FUCKING CRAZY!" He shrieked, crawling backwards on the broken glass.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Bro grabbed the man by this shirt with both hands, lifting him and slamming him against the side of the car. "LIKE FUCK YOU DID!"
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
The man took a cheap shot and punched him in the jaw, trying to get the other man off him before the authorities had to be involved. The woman at the truck was already calling the police, talking frantically into her cellphone as she watched.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
The man's hand was barely away from Bro's face before he punched the man back. His fist connected right between the man's eyes with a crunch. It was hard to tell if it was the man's nose or Bro's hand since he used the same hand he punched the window with.

Another man came out of the mini mart at the gas station, dropping his plastic bag and sprinting towards them as soon as he saw them. The man Bro was attacking already had a black eye from his sprawl with Dave in the restroom, now with the shattered nose, he was seeing stars and his mouth was filling with blood. "SOMEONE GET THIS NUT JOB OFF ME!"
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
"I BET MY BROTHER WANTED THE SAME FUCKING THING YOU SICK FUCK!" Bro punched the man in his stomach this time. "BUT ALL YOU WANTED WAS TO FUCKING GRAB HIS FUCKING SACK AND GET YOURSELF OFF" He punched him in the face again.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
"I DIDN'T TOUCH ANYONE!" He bellowed, summoning enough force to shove Bro off him. Only once he was free from Bro's looming figure, he hunched over in pain, vomiting bile and blood next to one of the front tires of his car.
The man from the mini mart was a cop, and he stood a safe distance with a gun directed at Bro, flashing his badge with his other hand. "FREEZE. HANDS OVER YOUR HEAD, NOW."

Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Bro slowly raised his hands up, placing them behind his head where the officer could see them with his back still to him. He turned his head to give the man a cold look with his hands still up. "There's a kid in the men's room with a black eye and a bloody nose. Where the fuck were you when he needed help."
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
The cop shot Bro a glare through his shades, pocketing his badge and pulling out his walkie talkie. Talking back to a cop was never a good idea, but when he heard about the kid in the restroom, the cop called for back up. He trained the gun on the other man, instructing him to do as Bro had. The man wasn't as willing to comply. He tried to make a run for it, in which the cop chased after him, pinning him to the pavement within seconds.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
Bro's sharp gaze followed them. He held no sympathy for the man. He was slightly hoping the cop would actually taze him.
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
As he recited his rights to the struggling man, the officer yanked back his flailing arms, cuffing them behind his back. He kept his weight on him as he turned towards Bro, pointing towards the ground at his feet. "You, on the ground, head down. Another officer will be here shortly to read you your rights."
Re: Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)
"With all due respect, officer, I know my miranda rights, and I don't need them read to me." Bro replied. "And I'm not getting on the ground here, there's glass here. I will willingly get on the ground if you let me move about five feet in any direction."
