Stop the Stuttering (Tavros/Equius)

While Equius did not have the patience for most things, he could often find himself to be most generous when it came to his moirail, Nepeta. Over time, he had come to find her playful nature amusing and perhaps even entertaining on occasion, though he may never admit it. As of late, however, she seemed to be more and more preoccupied with someone else, to whom exactly, he was uncertain.

Not that he should be surprised that she had others to converse with. She had a life of her own after all and it would be an absurdity of itself to believe that she was saddled to him alone. Yet when he was left unanswered for a good hour and a half, he began to doubt himself. If this had only occurred once, he might not have thought anything of it, but it was happening more often than not and while he did not wish to whiny over such a matter, it was trampling his subconscious with a dark and POWERFUL stampede of self doubt.

Equius waited, hunched over behind his computer for a response from Nepeta, his fingers laced together under his nose as the green and blue text stacked neatly upon the screen reflected against his cracked shades. All was quiet save for the mechanical hum of machinery in the blueblood's hive, robotic bits strewn about the room, yet neither grease nor grime tarnished the invaluable musclebeast portraits decorating the room that the Sagittarius thought so highly of.

He had better things he could be doing. He was aware of this. He had no reason to worry over whether or not he, at some point, he had made a terrible blunder that may have lead Nepeta to seek for other's attention... for this long.

Neigh, he shouldn't worry. He shouldn't be worrying. He was worrying, yet with a hint of some other emotion he did not desire to even trot for an instant across his thinkpan.

Jealousy.

Why did Nepeta have to live so far from him? Tavros was excited and greatful she had been inviting her for visits lately. She was one of his favorite roleplay partners and one of his best friends. But her hive was so far from his. It would still be awhile before he got there.

Nepeta had said she was inviting her moirail to spend time with them today. Tavros had never met him before, only heard things from Nepeta. He knew that Equius was a blue blood, loved musclebeasts and robots, and lived near Vriska.

He also knew this Equius forbade Nepeta from flarping with him, Aradia, Terezi, and Vriska. The green-blooded girl had been upset, but seemed to get over it quickly.

When his moirail's response eventually arrived, he had not expected it to include meeting that particularly feculent lowblood he despised so much. Of all the trolls in the hemospectrum, she had to keep company with what truly must have been one of the filthiest blood colors he had ever seen. Even in text format, he wanted to throttle the little orangish brown letters hesitantly popping up on his screen with all of those weak and pathetic commas of uncertainty. It was as if this bottom feeder could never come to a FIRM conclusion, everything was indecisive and ridden with enough self doubt to make the blueblood's stomach churn.

Of course, he had nearly trampled the notion of this meetup entirely, until Nepeta convinced him that he would be spending more time with his moirail and he supposed it was about time they had a feelings jam. They needed to have another discussion about her new acquaintance, that much was certain.

So there he was, heading towards Nepeta's hive. He wondered if he might come across this Tavros Nitram on his way there. Maybe the lowblood would have a little accident before he got there... yes, wouldn't that be dreadful?
