"Alright" Jake replied softly.

John got up to follow him. "I love you."

Jake sighed heavily. "I love you more John."

"I'm sorry."

Jake shook his head. "Its fine"

John felt like he was going to start crying again. "I wasn't trying to lie to you. I just needed a few minutes to myself. I'm sorry."

"You're fine John. Its only natural. You're a strapping young man after all." Jake replied.

John shrugged. "I guess."

"Whomever they are should feel lucky" Jake stated before vanishing into the den.

John sighed, feeling his gut clench. "I wish he would realize he was," he was whispering.

Jake was back a few moments later. "Do you want to set up for bed now, or later?"

"Now I guess. Might as well get it out of the way."

"Would you like the couch or floor?" Jake asked

"Can we sleep on the floor together?"

"if that's what you want." Jake smiled gently.

John nodded. "It is what I want."

Jake smiled. "Get the pillows"

John nodded before heading to the hall closet.

Jake returned to the den to set up.

John returned with an armful of pillows.

Jake was almost done with all the blankets.

"Ready for these?"

"Yeah. Set them where you'd like them"

John tossed them onto the blankets. "I'm going to finish my dinner."

Jake smiled. "Go do that then. I'll wait for you"
