Less Than Three

"And I'll keep teasing you about it" John snickered.

Dave rolled his eyes and reached over, giving John's head a flick before returning his attention to the movie.

John chuckled before turning his attention back to Dirk and the movie, nuzzling his hair.

Dirk let out a content sound, gently nudging his head up into John's affections before pressing a kiss to the corner of John's mouth.

John smiled into Dirk's hair. "gonna cuddle cal tonight?" he murmured. "and think of me?"

Dirk didn't respond for a moment before looking up at John with a slight pout. He really wished he could cuddle John instead of an inanimate puppet, but that didn't mean he was going to deprive Cal of his nightly cuddles. "Yeah." He murmured quietly.

"We can cuddle more tomorrow before and after Dave and I get our game on, kay?" John asked happily.

Dirk lightly nodded, settling that it was better than nothing. He looked over at the screen just in time for the Rapunzel scene with Mia and Nick.

And for Dave to speak in sync with Mia in a girlish voice. "The feat you ask, dear sir, isn't easy. And I won't respond to that line, it's far too cheesy."

John giggled. "Dave, you're such a dork"

"I am what I am. And I'm proud to be what I am."

Dirk frowned suddenly. "Dave no."

Too late, Eminem was already here. "And I am, whatever you say I am
If I wasn't, then why would I say I am?"

John rolled his eyes. "Shut up and watch the movie dude. Its hard to pay attention to you both at the same time. And I mean both you and the movie."

Dave just scoffed and shrugged, though he went silent to return his own attention to the movie. Looks like the camera man watching them just got Mick in trouble with Mia.

John smiled. He shifted so he could lean back a little more, his arms still around Dirk's waist

Dirk followed suit, leaning back with him to get more comfortable with how he was perched on his lap.

The movie went on, with Dave making little comments here and there. Then when Mia was making her speech about not having to get married, he was silent as the grave. Serious business.

John started softly stroking Dirk's hip absently as he watched. It was just nice being this close to someone.

Dirk leaned into the touches, letting out a breathy sigh of contentment. Who knew human contact could be so enjoyable? That, and body heat. Holy shit, he was in heaven.

John was nearly asleep by the time the movie ended. His head was resting on Dirk and his eyes were half lidded. He hadn't been kidding when he told Dave he didn't think he'd be able to last a whole lot longer.

Dave was yawning himself, glancing over at the two of them before standing with a grunt. "Time to hit the sack." He commented as he stretched.

Dirk hummed lightly and reluctantly stood up, pulling John up with him.

John stumbled to his feet slightly. He grunted as he started towards the bedroom.

Dirk kept his arm around his waist to keep John steady, walking them both into his and Dave's room.

Dave had the beds already made up, including a place for John to sleep.

John nuzzled Dirk where he was leaning against him, only pulling away once they were in the room so he could change into his pajamas that he always kept there.

Dirk shifted and got undressed, used to sleeping in only his boxers and a wife beater. When he was done, he hesitated before making his way up to his top bunk.

John stripped out of his clothes and pulled the pajama pants on, too tired to put the shirt on. Instead he crawled onto the bottom bunk and curled up on his end with the pillow.

Dave followed after him, tucking nicely into his little space. "Night dudes."

Dirk hummed softly as he slid under his own sheets, clutching Cal to his chest like a precious treasure.

John let out a sleepy mumble that sounded like 'night'.
