Jeff crossed his arms. "Are ya sure? It's alright to ask for help."

Tavros's ears turned red. "I know" he mumbled. "I just like the chance to try"

Jeff nodded at him. "Fair enough. But I'm going to stay here in case you need help."

Jake was silently crying now as he clutched Cat to his chest. Jade sighed under her breathe. "Tav, I'm going to take Jake to the house. I'll be back in a minute."

Tavros looked up at her. "Okay, make sure Cat is okay, I think his paw got caught under the wheel when he jumped"

Jade put an arm around her brother, steering him towards the house. "I'm sure he'll be alright. Let's calm down and take a look at him."

Tavros watched her for a minute before turning as far as he could to look at his legs. Deeming them as okay as they'll ever be, he tried to angle himself towards his chair and used his arms to pull his body forwards across the ground with a grunt. His chair was only a few feet away, but his pants noisily slid across the concrete, voicing its reluctance to move with the friction. He shifted and pulled again, moving a few inches. "Um, would you mind setting my chair upright sir?" he asked, looking up at Jeff.

Jeff nodded at him. "Sure thing." He put the wheelchair ride sight up before scooting closer to Tavros.

Tavros pulled himself closer with a grunt before looking up at the chair. His face immediately fell as he took in the potato chip curled wheel. "Oh no"

Jeff grunted as he scooped Tavros into his arms. "Don't worry squirt. I'm sure that's an easy fix."

Tavros made a small noise of alarm, clutching at Jeff's shoulder. "Um, no, my dad is gonna kill me. If the wheel's bent like that the whole axel probably, uh, needs replaced."

Just then, Hearts stepped out of Josh's house and looked around. "Tavros?" he called.

"That's my dad" Tavros squeaked

Jeff let his shades slip down so he could wink at Tavros. "Don't worry. Accidents happen." He turned to grin at the taller man. "Right here, sir."

Hearts immediately made a beeline for them. "Ah geeze, yer bleedin kid" he stated, pulling a handkerchief from his pocket. "The hell did the two of you do to your chair?" he asked as he reached them, pressing the hankie to Tavros's head.

"I think he got pulled out. Might have hit a curb."

"Bec just sort of took off when Jade opened the door and my chair flipped because he was running so fast."

Hearts made a vague worried sort of noise.

"The wheel bent" Tavros mumbled.

"How are your legs? Anything feel out of place?"

"No, same as usual, maybe some bruises I can't feel."

Jeff chuckled and grinned. "I think the chair took more damage."

"He doesn't have any feeling in his legs starting from his ass." Hearts replied, letting Tavros hold the hankie to his head while he moved his hands down to check Tavros's legs individually. "He wouldn't be able to tell unless he was able to do a full check, which is hard for him since he can't reach all the way down."

"Nothing was bent weird" Tavros protested.

"Better safe than sorry"

Jeff nodded at him. "Anything I can do to help?"

"If ya can take him back over to my friend's house while I get his wheel chair that'll be worlds helpful"

Jeff nodded at him again. "Sure thing, man."

Bec was heading back to the house as Jeff made his way to the front door.

"Thanks mister" Tavros mumbled to Jeff. "Sorry about my dad"

Jeff chuckled again. "No big deal, squirt. He's just bein' a dad."

"He's over protective" Tavros mumbled.

Josh came to the door, leaning heavily on his cane.

Jeff grinned at Tavros. "It's what dads do."

Jade and Jake were on the porch. Jake was still crying as he cradled Cat to his chest. Cat will still crying and squirming. Jade was on her phone, kneeling by Jake. "I found an emergency vet."

"Well Blast my barrel, its Jeffery Strider" Josh stated

Jeff looked up and grinned. "Josh Harley. Haven't seen you since I was in high school. I thought you lived on an island with your grandkids."
