"Are you sure you don't need anything?" Jane asked

Jade followed after him. "How long are you going to be up tonight?"

Jake didn't respond this time.

John shrugged "I dunno, probably a while" he admitted. "Depends on how much of the truck dad unpacked and put in my room"

Jane smiled. "Jake, did you fall asleep?"

Jade hummed as they went outside. "I'm not sure when I'll get to bed. I am a bit tired right now."

Jake was silent as he rolled onto his side.

"I'm only a little tired. Mostly dreading all the baking dad's gonna be doing to introduce us to the neighborhood. Slick's house is a block over isn't it?" John asked. "I bet Karkat is gonna be up for a while still if I wind up going to bed."

Jade let out another yawn. "I think I'm going to bed after taking in a few more boxes. Like I said, Jake and I can finish this tomorrow." She pulled her phone out. "I'm going to see where Gramps is."

"I thought I heard him down the hall" John stated, keeping pace with her. "Bec and Cat aren't in the car anymore so I assume he took them in. Especially since I saw Cat vanish into the kitchen"

"My bed isn't set up dearie. I was waiting for Jake to get here to help me, I can't bend to put it together. I was going to sleep on the couch Robert brought in if he didn't" Grandpa replied
