Karkat nodded.

"Or do you want banana?"

Karkat nodded.

"Ornage?"

Karkat nodded again.

"All of the above it is"

"Cutie," Dave muttered, ruffling Karkat's hair. He was relieved that Bro wasn't flipping out at him any more.

Bro nodded. "Its a shame Tav isn't here to see it" he stated. "He'd probably have an anurism, trying to decide whether to coddle or attack him"

"He wouldn't hurt a lil' sweetie like him," Dave protested, pressing Karkat just a bit tighter to his chest.

"Troll instincts don't really register whether another troll is friendly or not." Bro pointed out. "That's why territory space is an issue"

"I know, Dave muttered. "But Tav is such a softie. He wouldn't attack Karkat."

"With his territory as small as it is, It could go either way" Bro replied

Dave snorted, pressing another kiss to Karkat's head. "No way, Tav wouldn't do that. Hell, he shares the couch with you, I'm surprised he isn't creeped out of his gourd by now."

"He isn't the one that has to worry about shit like that" Bro replied. "I stay on my side of the futon and sleep, like a good little asshole. He's the one that's a fuckin heat seeking missile."

Dave rolled his eyes. "Yeah. Sure."

"Hey, how many times have you walked out to me being the big spoon?" Bro asked "That's right, none"

"Yeah okay, he does seem to take the big spoon position an awful lot," Dave chuckled.

Bro laughed. "I told you, he's a damn cuddler" He nodded at Karkat. "He looks to be one as well"

"He sure is," Dave agreed, bouncing Karkat on his knee.

Karkat made a displeased noise, hissing at the bouncing motion.

Dave stopped immediately, hushing Karkat and petting the back of his head. "Okay, just cuddles then, no bouncing."

Karkat snorted at him, giving a look that just radiated agitation.

Bro snorted. "Still wanna get that kiddy pool today?"

Dave grinned at Bro. "Fruit pancakes and time in a kiddie pool? Hell yeah, I'm down for that."

Bro's phone went off five seconds later.

Bro looked surprised, but quickly answered. "Hello?" he asked, not checking the caller id.

"Hey, baby!" Tav's voice chimed from the other end, his laughter tittering off at the end. "Eridan and Fef have been really sick the last couple of days and now Terezi and Sollux are sick. I was hoping I could go home before I catch it too."

Bro's eyebrows rose. "Well shit, I would want you to come back before you caught it too, can never be too careful with you guys since your make up is different then ours."

Karkat chirped and papped Dave for stopping paying attention to him.

"Oh, right, we still have the issue of the little troll that speaks no evil. Will you be alright with another troll in such a small space?" Bro asked "And why didn't you warn us that he was mute as the audience on Jerry before the paternity announcement?"

"You didn't know?" Tav asked, his tone clearly confused before he ran straight into apologizing. "I thought everyone knew, I'm sorry!"

He had to take a moment to consider the first part Bro asked about. "Also, I mean, I guess it'd be alright if he doesn't sleep in the living room?"

"If you're sure you'll be alright with him being here, I don't see why you can't come back early." Bro stated, flipping a pancake one handed. "Just book a flight and I can come pick you up. God, I wish you could see them now. They're being cute and shit. No one ever mentioned he was tiny as fuck either."

Tav giggled on the other end. "Okay, I'll try and book something for tomorrow night then if you aren't working." There was the shift of bed springs that could be heard before he spoke up. "What're you wearing?"

"What am I doing right now?" Bro asked, as if he hadn't heard Tav. "I'm in the kitchen with Dave and Karkat making pancakes. Since I have the day off from my other job, we're spending time together. I can call you back to discuss your flight more after breakfast when Dave leaves to go get what we need to set up on the roof if you want." Bro hoped Tav took that as a rain check and not an outright dismissal, though he may as well give him a little tidbit to tide him over though. "Gonna have to dig out my swimming trunks though. Get all lotioned up with sunblock so I don't fry up there."
