You take my breath away. (Jake/John)

John was frowning. Jake hardly got sick. "What's wrong?"

Jake shook his head. "Nothing"

"People don't get sick for no reason Jake. What's wrong? I thought you had gone home by now."

"I'm supposed to watch you" Jake coughed "No matter how I feel"

John sighed. "If you don't feel well you should go home. I can take care of myself."

Jake reached out with a shaking hand and wrapped an arm around John. He gave him a squeeze. "I know, but I feel bad leaving you on your own, even if I am stress sick"

"This is my fault, isn't it?" John threw his arms around Jake. "I'm sorry. Please don't be mad at me. I was just agitated and upset this morning because of Jade and Dave. I shouldn't have taken it out on you. I love you Jake. Please forgive me."

"I'm not upset with you John, I just worried myself a bit sick over you is all" Jake murmured to him.

"Don't worry yourself over me Jake." He started to rub his cousins back. "I'm just a mood little boy."

"But you're my moody boy, John, and you're anything but little" Jake chuckled before giving a dry heave.

John didn't reply. He knew his weight and how big he was. He didn't need Jake reminding him of it.

"You're turning into quite the young gentleman actually" Jake gave a weak smile.

John was still frowning. "Are you going to be okay?"

"I think I need to lie down a little longer" Jake admitted.

John patted his back. "Let's go lay down."

"Can I have some seltzer water?" Jake asked, pushing himself up on shaking legs.

John patted his back again. "Of course." He went to the cabinet to get the seltzer then left to get water from the kitchen.

Jake stumbled to the door.

John handed the water to him when he got back. He wrapped an arm around Jake to help support him. He was murmuring soothing words as he steered his older cousin to the stairs.

"Where are we going?" Jake asked softly. "The den is the other way"

"We're going to my room." John slowly led him up the stairs. "We're going to lay in my bed."

"Is there enough room?" Jake asked "Isn't that usually why we stay in the den? Because there's more room?"

John had a tight hold on him as they went up the stairs. "I got a new bed recently. We'll fit on this one better."

"Alright, if not, I'll lay on the floor out of your way" Jake mumbled, nuzzling John's shoulder.

"You won't be in my way." John kissed his forehead when they got to the top of the stairs.
