Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)

Bro smiled at him. "anytime you want me to wake you up?"

Dave grunted into his pillow, lifting his head as he repeated, "Tomorrow? Whenever the nearest tailor opens, I guess."

"In the morning I guess then" Bro smiled

"Mmm, yeah," Dave hummed, squishing his cheek against his pillow. "I need to get up early so I can give John directions."

"Alright, I'll get you up early then" Bro smiled.

"Just don't startle me like last time. Try softly singing Ave Maria in my ear until I wake up," Dave suggested with a smirk.

"I'll consider it" Bro smiled.

Dave closed his eyes with that smirk still across his face, drifting off momentarily.

Bro smiled and stayed next to him for a while, just watching tv.

Dave's sleep was more peaceful this time, that being, it at least remained dreamless with no room for it to turn into a nightmare again.

Bro laid down next to him to sleep after a while, setting the alarm on his phone to wake them up earaly.

It wasn't until six that Dave began to stir as the sound of an alarm went off, making him groan and cover his exposed ear with his arm.

Bro sat up with a yawn.

Dave's eyes finally opened after he let out a displeased sigh, scooting up on his elbows. He took a moment to remember what he was going to do today before he got out his phone and started texting John their current address. "What room is this again?" He asked, tilting his head towards Bro in sleepy confusion.

"One fifteen" Bro yawned. "Sliders for breakfast?"

"Perfect," Dave murmured, setting his phone down when he was finished.

Bro pulled the bx over into his lap. "We're out of fries though"

Dave leaned over and pulled out a slider. "More than enough burgers to make up for that."

"Yeah" Bro smiled. "And we have a microwave too. so there's that"

Dave grunted as he slid out of bed, plucking one more slider out of the box before walking over to the microwave and popping both of them in. After he set the time and they started rotating in their tray, Dave rested his back against the microwave and had a good stretch. "You find any tailors on your phone?"

"There's one a block or two away, but their reviews aren't that great."

"So we're going to need a cab or something if we want a decent tailor?" Dave asked.

"Pretty much" Bro sighed.

"I don't mind walking a good distance to find one. That's really all there is on the agenda today aside from tonight when John and Jake get here," Dave stated with a shrug.

"Maybe we can get them to drive us?" Bro suggested.
