Unspoken Attraction (Dave/Karkat)

"How about Space Jam?" Dave asked.

"I could get into that!" John grinned

"Are you ready to get your jam on?" Dave chuckled, glancing towards Jake and Bro as he selected the movie.

"What's space jam?" Jake asked.

Bro stared at him blankly.

Dave started the movie before full on turning towards Jake. "Jake, I'd like to take you on a journey through the majesty that is Space Jam. Let us go on an adventure with the Looney Toons and Michael Jordan as they play a daring game of basketball against cartoon aliens with bouncy Monstar butt shots and this smoking hot bunny chick with boobs that left many a child sexually confused. So I ask you, Jake, as an adventurer... do you think you have what it takes to get on the floor and jam?"

"What are loony toons?" Jake asked.

Bro put a hand over his face.

"You'll see," Dave replied in a mystical voice, patting the spot next to him for Jake to sit his ass down and learn of the ways of these mysterious, 2D creatures.

Jake hummed and sat on Dave's other side.

Dave would have wrapped both of his arms around them if he could, but he settled for one arm around John as the movie started.

"Who doesn't fucking know who the loony toons are" Bro grumbled.

"I didn't grow up around here alright? I grew up on the other side of the world." Jake defended.

"He'll learn," Dave assured Bro, waving him over to join them on the back of the bed.

Bro lounged across the foot of the bed instead. "Not enough room up there"

Dave smirked as he propped his feet up on Bro, casually crossing his ankles.

Bro grunted.

Dave was surprised that he was getting away with this shit, but then again, Bro was doing an awful lot for him... maybe he should cut it out? Dave lifted his feet off Bro just as suddenly as he had placed them on him.

"Not plush enough for you?" Bro asked

Dave shrugged. "Nah, just checking myself."

Bro grunted again. "If you say so"

Dave rested his head on John's shoulder and settled into watching the movie.

"So this isn't a cartoon right?" Jake asked

"Eh, kind of a mix between cartoons and the real world. The Loony Tunes will show up soon enough. That's when shit starts going down," Dave explained.

"And the 'loony toons' are cartoons?" Jake asked

Dave nodded. "Yeup. You'll know 'em when you see 'em."

Jake nodded like it was the most important information ever.

Dave avoided the temptation to give Jake a funny look and instead tried to focus on this masterpiece of children's entertainment.
