Karkat purred a little louder and arched his back into Dave's touch. "I like your hands." he stated.

"A result from years of computer work, table-turning, and Strifing." He said with a chuckle, leaning forward to rest his forehead on the back of Karkat's head. "Not just anyone can get special treatment with these hands. But you're definitely a special case."

Karkat purred deeper at that statement. "Matesprit" he replied softly. He shifted his head to rub the back of his head against Dave's forehead.

He huffed a light chuckle before nodding against his head. "Exactly." He cooed, nuzzling his head for a moment before shifting a little, resting his chin on Karkat's shoulder so their heads were side by side.

Karkat took that as his cue to lean back against Dave the rest of the way and nuzzle the side of his head. "Best Matesprit. Best Boyfriend." he mumbled.

He smiled and returned the nuzzles, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "I know you are." He purred, his rubescent eyes slipping halfway shut.

"I'm just smart like that" Karkat replied without thinking. After a moment of pause, he turned his head to look at Dave. "How am I being modest?" he asked with a little frown.

"Because you really are a great boyfriend. And obviously a great matesprit." His hands were at the middle of his back by now, searching for more knots. "As sappy as it sounds, I wouldn't pick anyone else. And I mean that."

"I don't think it sounds sappy" Karkat admitted. He leaned a little to kiss Dave's cheek. "I think pretty much the same thing about you"

Karkat started purring again. "What do we do now?" he asked with a little smile.

"Well the way I see it there are two options. First is, we ditch today and just chill together. Maybe see if there's anything else we can do to the project. Or second, we go in to class late and just go about our normal day." He said.
