"No, um" Karkat bit his lip and leaned against the wall. "I'll take the bus."

"Seriously though," Jeff sat back down on the couch. "It's no big deal. We can take you there."

"No offense, but you're the kind of guy my dad would kick the crap out of, in his pajamas," Karkat replied. "Just for looking at me or my mom the wrong way"

"Most people want to beat the shit out of him," Dave commented. "Sadly he can defend himself. Pretty well too."

Jeff ignored him as he put the game on pause. "At least let Dave go with you. I don't want anything happening to you."

Karkat shrugged. "I guess if you insist" he mumbled.

"I do insist," Jeff unpaused the game and started another race. Dave shrugged as he looked at Karkat. "I don't mind going."

"You can't tell him I was sick though." Karkat stated, standing up straight. "He would kill my uncle for letting me get sick."

"Dude, that was Thollux's fault," Dave argued trying to sound like Sollux. "It's not your fault he was pmsing and acting like a bitch. He should get in trouble."

"He has a rule about blaming minors." Karkat stated "Says its the parent's job to raise them right."

"Well, I don't know your uncle." Dave scratched his head. "So I really can't say much about him."

"He's a dumbfuck." Karkat replied. "And his kid can take advantage of it."

Jeff chuckled as his car hit a wall. "Not all adults can be as cool as me."

"Nerds aren't cool" Karkat pointed out dully. "Just saying, whoever told you other wise was lying"

Jeff dramatically clutched at his chest and flopped over. "You wound me Kat. My feelings are in shreds. How will I go on now." Dave snorted as he stood up.

"You ego could be a small planet. You should have gone to college to be an actor." He was heading towards the bathroom. "If he bothers you or tries anything Karkat, just kick him in the balls."

"Nah, I'm more of a biter." Karkat shot back with a playful snort.

Jeff flipped himself over to look at Karkat. "Kinky. Wanna come bite me now?"

"Junk food is bad for my complexion" Karkat replied, raising a brow.

Jeff put a hand over his heart. "You're bustin my balls kid. Haven't even given me a chance. And you're such a cutie too. Everyone needs some junk food every once in awhile. Live a little."

He pulled of his shades entirely and winked. "I've been told I make a pretty good lolipop."

"I never did like candy." Karkat returned easily. "Not sweet enough fast enough"

"I could be sweet for," Jeff propped himself up.

"I think I'll pass." Karkat replied. "I don't put just anything in my mouth"

"Who said it wasn't gonna be the other way around," He wiggled his eyebrows before sitting up.

"Because I'm pretty sure My dad would find a way to break out and break your jaw." Karkat stated honestly.

He winked one last time before putting his shades back on. "Would be totally worth it. I've had people swing at me for less." He grabbed his controller. "Wanna play?"

Karkat shook his head. "Video games make my headaches worse" he mumbled.
