Bro gave him a stern look. "You shouldn't know that"

Dave snorted. "Relax. I think Mike's hard lemonade barely counts as drinking. That's like, How to Catch a Predator booze for preteen girls."

Bro snorted. "That's what you've been drinking?"

"Yeah, I mean, it has more alcohol in it than bud light, but it's the citrus I can't stand." Dave shrugged. "I had it at someone's party in high school. I've had other drinks before that, but that was the only time I actually got drunk."

"I see" Bro replied. "So that means that you're doing things you shouldn't behind my back, like a normal teenager."

"At least I'm not on any hard drugs." Dave smirked. "So how about that beer?"

"After John and Jake get here" Bro smiled.

"Alright. Maybe by the time you get back we'll have the webcam set up," Dave hummed.

Dave nudged Bro playfully. "Won't that make a great impression, getting drunk in front of them on skype."

"Tavros will not approve." Bro pointed out. "And Karkat probably won't either"

"That's the joke." Dave sighed, brushing his hand through his bangs.

"Oh. I didn't realize you were joking"

"Clearly."

"Hard telling sometimes" Bro shrugged. "you can be pretty hard to read."

"Wonder where I learned that from." Dave rested his head against Bro's shoulder.

"Taught you well"

Dave grinned. "Arigato, sensei."

Bro chuckled and smiled.

Dave rested his eyes for a moment. "I love you."

"I love you too." Bro smiled. "A lot. Even though I don't say it enough"

"Back at ya," Dave hummed.

"So, get a message from john yet?" Bro asked

Dave got out his phone and checked it.
