You take my breath away. (Jake/John)

Jade joined them 15 minutes later. She was making it a point to ignore Dave.

John was finishing up breakfast by now. He was humming as he set everything on the table. Hopefully Jake liked everything. He had also made hard boiled eggs. Dad had left money, so he used the whole cartoon. Egg salad could be made from the ones not eaten.

Josh raised a brow at her.

Jake yawned loudly.

Jade crossed her arms. "I'm ready to go."

"Breakfast is ready Jake."

Josh and Dave both stood up. "Can you get the gun bags?" he asked Jade.

Jade nodded before leaving to get them.

Josh grunted and leaned heavily on his cane as he made his way to the front door

Jade was back moments later with their gun bags.

"Want me to help with that?" Dave offered

Jade shook her head. "I don't need your help."

"Alright" Dave mumbled softly.

Jade walked passed him to walk outside.

Dave followed like a kicked puppy.

Jade had put the gun bags in the trunk. She had gotten in the car, sitting in the front seat. As she waited for the men she pulled her phone out to text someone.

Josh got in the driver's seat with a grunt while Dave slid silently into the back.

Jade kept quiet, still texting on her phone.

The ride to the shooting range was quiet and tense.

John was quiet as he walked back to the den.

Jake looked at him sleepily. "Morning"

John smiled back at him. "Morning! I made breakfast for us."

Jake smiled. "Yum" he yawned

"Come eat." John turned to go back to the kitchen.

"Feed me in bed" Jake replied with a cheeky smile

John pouted at him. "Come eat at the table with me. I made breakfast specially for you."

"But we always eat in here and watch another movie" Jake pouted

John sighed. "Dad doesn't want anyone eating in here anymore. Unless we get his permission first. Now come one. Breakfast is getting cold."
