Provocation of a Fluke (Bro/Karkat)

Dave grinned back at Bro, feeling a little better from his words of encouragement, but went silent once again, still kind of touchy about John.

Bro reached out and put his arm around Dave, pulling him against his side in a sort of hug.

Karkat let Bro's finger slip out of his mouth when he saw that Bro was holding Dave in a semi-hug with his other arm. He felt less inclined to perform oral on Bro's fingers when the man was having a moment with his little brother, so he settled for nuzzling and kissing the back of his hand some more.

Dave rested the side of his head against Bro's shoulder, grateful for this rare gesture. He honestly needed a hug for a long while, and even if this wasn't a complete hug, he was glad to have it.

"You're a good kid" Bro mumbled. "And I know I don't say it enough, but I love you"

Dave remained silent a little while longer after Bro's confession, rubbing his cheek against Bro's shoulder. "Back at you," he muttered finally, tilting his head so that Bro could see his smile of approval.

Bro smiled back and ruffled Dave's hair. "You can tell me anything, you know that right?"

Dave raised his arms up guardedly, fending Bro off from mussing up his hair any more than he already had. "How about I tell you to leave the 'do alone?"

Bro let his hand drop with a chuckle.

Karkat immediately went back to attempting to get all of Bro's attention focused on him again, lightly nipping at his shoulder.

Bro looked over at him with a chuckle. "Still need all my attention?"

"All the time," Karkat murmured, kissing the spot he had just nipped at.

"You'll have to learn to share me with Dave eventually" Bro pointed out

"Take him. I got my bonding moment to last me the year," Dave muttered, pushing Bro in Karkat's direction.

Bro looked at Dave with a raised Brow.

Dave mirrored Bro's skeptical gaze. "What?"

"You don't want to share me" he asked, mocking sounding hurt.

"I'm okay with that," Karkat chimed in, wrapping his arms around Bro's middle. "I'd much rather have him all to myself, anyway."

Dave nodded towards Karkat. "See? He doesn't mind."

"I know he doesn't, but I'm not sure that you don't mind" Bro replied.

"I sort of mind," Dave admitted quietly. "I'm not crying myself to sleep every time he isn't around to kiss me good night, but, every once in a while... maybe a fist bump for no good reason would be nice."

"More fist bumps. Got it" Bro nodded, holding his hand out for a fist bump.

Dave fist bumped Bro immediately, a large grin spread across his face.

"Better?" Bro asked with a smirk

"Definitely," Dave replied, resting the side of his head back against Bro.

"Good" Bro replied, pulling Karkat against his other side. "Got both my boys here."

Karkat nuzzled Bro's chest, purring loudly.

"I think that one is more of a cat than a boy," Dave chuckled.
